Funds are disseminated with the board’s approval and with the advisement and input from

the Advisory Committee of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

This support includes:

EMERGENCY FINANCIAL AID

Assist with providing financial support for Troopers as a result of injury, incapacitation or death in the     line of duty. Assist with gaps in retirement for those that do not meet or falls short of the OHP’s  catastrophic event requirements, shortfalls otherwise not fulfilled statutorily through OLERS.

FAMILY & MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

Troopers experience high stress, anxiety and need counseling support. OSTF will develop and support a Wellness Center and Services to assist with treatment of PTSD, ongoing mental, emotional and familial issues as well as work to ensure the overall well-being of Troopers and their families.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, OUTREACH

Provide training and leadership development opportunities for Troopers and Supervisors. Provide funding to adequately assist recruitment efforts and public education, interaction and outreach.
